Eiles Bistro was a great find, tucked away in Danshui and serving some quite authentic Italian cuisine.
The owner actually learnt his trade in Italy, and it shows in the food. Offering the usual pasta dishes, along with lasagnes and gnocchi, it also serves some terrific starters, salads and desserts.
It’s a lovely place, decked with antiques and objects direct from Europe. The service is friendly and welcoming, and there’s a large collection of bottled beers and wines
It does sway towards fine-dining and the prices do reflect that, but it’s ultimately worth every dollar.
