Situated just off the famous Yong Kang Street, Youmoutoohana Coffee is a great cafe that’s perfect for a quick drink, but is also a great place to work for a while.
With 20 or so tables available, and many plug sockets located throughout, it’s a chilled and quiet cafe. It’s walls are plastered with film and music memorabilia, mainly of Japanese origin, with many books and CDs and gentle Japanese music playing in the background.
Their menu mainly consists of drinks, with tea, coffee, juices and smoothies. There is a small section for food, with some pies and brunch type dishes available.
We tried the green chicken curry pie and breakfast meal, which were both fine although nothing special.
They have a cabinet with delicious looking cakes too, and a fridge filled with premium beers. We’ll try these next time we come for sure!
We went for the osmanthus sparkling water and the honey lemon smoothie, the latter being more like a sorbet but was very refreshing.
As with all the cafes on Yong Kang Street, the prices are slightly on the more expensive side, but if you’re going to spend some time working here it’s definitely worth it.
