Taipei has hundreds of convenience stores all over the city, but there are a handful which offer something slightly different from all of the others. These are some of the coolest convenience stores in Taipei.
7-Eleven Dominoes (Xinyi)
This 7-Eleven, found just north of the City Hall MRT station, is one of the largest convenience stores in the city. As a bonus, it’s also home to a Dominoes Pizza, which serves snack-sized pizzas along with more regular sizes.
Family Mart (Daan)
This Family Mart, found in the heart of the Daan district, also doubles as a cafe. With loads of comfortable seating, it also serves food and beverages you wouldn’t normally find in a convenience store.
7-Eleven X
There are a couple of 7-Eleven X stores found in Taipei, which are experimenting with fully self-service, unmanned technology. They use facial recognition to enter the store, although registration is required make use of one.
Family Mart (Songshan)
Not far from Taipei Arena, this Family Mart is easy to miss, but has many seats, including some sofas at the back.
7-Eleven (Ximen)
From the outside, this 7-Eleven in Ximen looks like any other convenience store. However, found on the second floor is a cool seating area where the walls are adorned with pop-art.
