Woo Taipei is a stylish and popular bar and restaurant that specialises in wines and cocktails, while serving some great western dishes.
The large main room is decked out with old wooden furniture, cast-iron stoves and many filament light bulbs which are the only light-sources in this dimly lit environment. With the sounds of smooth cool music and the buzz of chat, Woo Taipei has a great atmosphere.
The wine list is extensive, and there are many fine cocktails to choose from, each with their own twist. Their “We’ll Make You Woo” cocktails are precisely crafted alcoholic works-of-art.
The food choice is also good, with English style pub food like fish and chips, plenty of pasta options, and a variety of food to share such as tapas and seafood platters. We particularly enjoyed their Garlic Shrimp & Mushrooms in Taiwan Beer.
Woo Taipei is a great bistro style bar that usually gets busy over the weekend. You may need to queue to get in, but you’ll have a great time once inside.
