An Australian inspired restaurant conveniently located in a vibrant area of Fuxing, Little Creatures is a nice environment to enjoy a meal or some of their craft ales of the same name.
With a sleek and modern interior, the centrepiece is the very cool looking bar area, complete with brass pipes and taps. It really does look the business.
A very spacious room letting in plenty of light, it was however very quiet while we were there for a late brunch. Maybe if we’d got there during their happy hour period (15:00 – 18:00) it would have been livelier?
Lunches and Brunches are served until 14:30, and while they had some nice looking pizzas, pastas and salads, it was the brunch deals we were after. They only have 8 or so items on the brunch menu, including pikelets and bacon & egg rolls. The smashed avocado on toast also looked nice but we decided upon the Berry Smoothie Bowl and the Little Big Brekkie.
The brekkie consisted of a good selection of breakfast items, with avocado on toast, mushrooms, halloumi, a chorizo sausage, spinach, tomatoes and eggs.
Generally, it was a good plate of food although the sausage and spinach we weren’t too keen on. The spinach was slightly watery and the sausage just wasn’t to our liking (maybe just personal preference). Everything else was spot on though.
The smoothie bowl was very large, and came with plenty on granola, strawberries, bananas and blueberries. The yogurt mousse underneath was cold and very pleasant to eat with the granola.
The Iced Lemon Tea we shared with the meal was suitably refreshing and good value at only NT$100.
I’ve never heard of Little Creature craft ales prior to this visit, but they have a good selection of pale, amber and IPAs. Next time we’ll come to try the lunch time deals here, as these include buy-one-get-one-free on some of the ales.
Little Creatures provides a comfortable and no-frills dining experience, and we had a nice enough time to warrant another visit.
