Taipei Jazz Festival at Daan Park
Spanning two months each year, the Taipei Jazz Festival culminates with a fantastic concert lasting three October evenings at the Daan Forest Park pavilion. With four acts each evening, it’s popularity has surged year-on-year. For jazz lovers, there no excuse not to come as it’s also completely free.
Taiwan World Music Festival
The best annual music event in Taipei, the Taiwan World Music Festival in October is a chance to listen to some world class performers from musicians and groups across the globe. Spanning 3 days, the festival has two large stages, a tent and many stalls and activities throughout each day. The World Music Festival is one event that music lovers shouldn’t miss out on.
Tiger Mountain Ramble
For just one December day a year, Tiger Mountain will host a small but fantastic music festival. Curated by expats, the Tiger Mountain Ramble has two stages and some brilliant acts playing Americana and other styles. The atmosphere and musicians here are first rate.
Honourable Mention – Daniel Pearl Music Festival
Daniel Pearl was a journalist and accomplished musician who devoted his life to helping others and improving the world. He was kidnapped and murdered in 2002, and ever since, concerts have been set up in many countries to celebrate his life. For just one September day each year, the Hakka Cultural Park hosts a small festival, with local, expat and some international bands playing, along with some food and gift stalls.
